I suppose one of the last things I imagined topping fresh whipped cream with was anything herbal. When I discovered grass jelly whip at the Taiwanese dessert chain, Meet Fresh, and Seattle’s only craft bubble tea shop, Drive Thru Boba, I realized I was unimaginative.
Grass jelly is an herbal tea that’s super refreshing and known for health benefits (read: nice skin) in East Asia. It’s so good and pure, why not make it a little more rich and decadent with the whip?
This fourth part of our series is not much more work on top of our first, where we talk about how to make grass jelly tea from scratch. All we need is the resulting grass jelly tea, and a small carton of heavy whipping cream.
